Five of the longest words you will probably never ever ever use in your day to day life o_O

1) Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia - the fear of long words. fear it. FEAR IT NOW! >:|

2) Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis - when you breathe in microscopic sized volcanic ash that cuts up your lung from the inside, ouch

3) Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia - fear of the number 666 :O

4) Antidisestablishmentarianism - some political position that originated in nineteenth-century Britain ._.

5) And for number five, the chemical name for the protein "Titin" lol. It has 189,819 letters so i'm not gonna put it here o_O Google it if you're crazy enough. Or.. go here, haha

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20061113221628AAxlNn5

So there you go, 5 words that you will probably most certainly end up wasting brain cells by remembering. Lol. I'll.. go check if my brain's still alive now ._.

Reasons why Gummy bears are like, the bomb

And that I have problems... o_o

Yes.. Problems...

Resurrection and Fish

Haha. Well my blog has been... dead to say the least for the past few days, weeks... Look, dead yeh?

In any case I've decided to come back to revive it before it starts rotting like all my other ahem.. "blogs"

So... nothing much has changed. The holidays are still as boring as hell and the boredom is still eating away at what is left of my brain

I've also decided to start eating more fish, bleh.

LOL don't get me wrong, I have nothing against fish... Except that maybe I hate it. Haha, I can't help it, really! It just tastes so.. (would you believe it?) fishy ._.

But I'm gonna try anyway, cause well it's "healthy" for me, ick. Lol, and fish don't produce any greenhouse gases. I mean, have you ever seen a fish fart? Haha, that's.. a pleasant mental image... Anyway by eating more fish and less beef I'm hoping I'd be able to do my little part in slowing down global warming. Haha, sad I know, considering I'm only one person. But that's why I made this blog. You can help too :)

It could be anything from setting a timer on your air-conds to switching to flourescent bulbs. Heck, you could even join me on my suicidal crusade of fish consumption :O Wipee..

Signing off, your friendly neighbourhood fish-consuming friend.

Boredom has consumed me, regurgitated me, and then consumed me once again.

I move and I play,
Yet never am I free,
I dangle by these strings,
Does no one listen to me?

I scream and I shout,
My voice unheard,
Chained by these threads,
Forced to watch the world.

The freedom of a bird as it soars through the skies,
Unbound to the earth, unlike me or I,
Liberated, unshackled, free, untied
Oh, how I wish - how I wish - to fly.

TAGS AHHH!!!!

Save me.
The tags are coming ._.

Emo

I bet you're thinking, "Oh God, an emo post...". Or if you're not, then you're thinking, "Hey! Let's get some chicken soup!". Well, maybe not the second one, but it's been a long time since I've had chicken soup so shoot me if I start talking about soup made from chickens cause that's really not what this post is about.

Anyway, I'm writing this because I've noticed that a lot of people are starting to feel depressed whether it is because they won't have the same class mates next year or if they haven't had their chicken soup in a long time (DAMMIT).

In any case, what's interesting is that most of us apologize for feeling depressed or get angry at ourselves or even at other people when they're being emo-life-sucking-leeches. We go, "He/She's emo again. Oh, how annoying." And I... don't get it.

I mean, what is it about this - this feeling that we completely detest? Why do we apologize for being sad or depressed? Believe it or not, being sad isn't a crime. Or... not yet anyway. I suppose we could take happy pills and be happy little people who completely detach from worldly emotions like sadness or depression. But I'm pretty sure that substance abuse is illegal and frowned upon in most societies.

I'm just saying, it's possible to feel sad about nothing. Just as it is obviously possible to feel sad about something. Don't assume a person's just doing it to seek attention until you've heard their side of the story.

I know how annoying and preachy I'm sounding to you (or looking to you?) right now, and I apologize for that.

Feel free to ignore me if you think I'm being stupid and am spouting crap. To each his own, yeh?

I'm just tired of living in a world where being sad is wrong

Random :D

Five random facts about me.
1. I love animals though just about every pet I keep ends up dead :(

2. When I was young, I used to think God was spelt G-o-a-t. Sorry God, I'm a better speller now.

3. I used to want to be a fireman. Followed by wanting to be a dog. And then some other random animal.

4. I am equally horrible at keeping plants. All my cacti are dead and gone :O

5. I want superpowers o_O LOL

In Support of Tree Hugging

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
This is no exception I'm sure, but a thousand is a little too much for me.

Here's ten

1. Awesome (nuf' said)

2. Great (the greatest people on earth are tree-huggers. well, them and clowns)

3. Eco-friendly (how much friendlier can you get when you're hugging a tree?)

4. Caring (hey, even trees need love once in a while)

5. Extreme (cheyeahhh... totallyyy, take that extreme skateboarding!)

6. Cool (make all your friends jealous, well, not really)

7. Amazing (like duh)

8. Unpredictable (omg, is that a tree?)

9. Brave (this, sadly, only applies to trees with thorns)

10. FUN (better than gameboy! hahaha)

Alright, ten words. Ten perfectly good reasons to hug a tree. So right here, right now, I dare you.

Hug a tree.
Today.
Or whenever :D

What does this achieve? Well, nothing much, but hey, it's good to get close to nature once in a while. It's therapeutic. It's cathartic. It's healing.

You might get a few (MANY) weird glances, but who cares? :D haha

So, www.me-are-cus.blogspot.com dares you to hug a tree, you up for it? Heck, hug more than one tree if you want. After all, the other trees could get jealous.

Disclaimer: Tree-hugging will not guarantee in making you Awesome, Great, Eco-friendly, Caring, Extreme, Cool or any of the above descriptions. But do hug one anyway :)

Sword in the Sky

Haha, this photo was in no way edited. Well, aside from the black little border right there. But it's sorta odd, don't you think? I took it at Damai, I think. Haha, it's almost as if Mother Nature is readying her sword for battle. Metaphorically anyway. I doubt a sword of clouds would do much to subdue the works of humanity.

It could bring some rain and thunder though, but I'm not sure if it'd be any good at cutting anything. Definitely not the kind of knife you'd use in the kitchen.

Well, anyway, it really makes you think a little. I mean, before the age of technology and wireless internet, a sword in the sky would be a harbinger. The soothsayers and cloudreaders would say the it heralded war, destruction and bloodshed.

Of course, none of that is probably true, it's just... makes you think, you know?

Students of 3B

So, I've been checking out the 3B class blog (http://3b-2008.blogspot.com/) and it's really bumming me out how we might all be in different classes. I mean like.. bummmerrrr, haha..

Anyway, I wrote this. It's nothing amazing, nothing note-worthy, but I'm putting it up anyway.

Twenty-eight individuals,
As different as can be,
Tied by a bond,
So deep you cannot see.

Harder than mortar,
And stronger than steel,
This is their tie,
That will forever heal.

But soon they will part,
Heroes on their own,
Yet never will they feel,
Friendless or alone.

For together they are one,
And forever they will be,
United, combined,
Students of 3B.

Haha, I know it doesn't do you guys justice or anything, but I tried

I Love the Whole World

A friend of mine already posted this up on her blog (check it out! www.caramel-candyy.blogspot.com) but I'm gonna post it again up here because MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT. You guys have gotta realise how awesome our world is. Maybe if I can get people to see that, they'd try a little harder to save it. So here goes.

Lyrics
It never gets old huh?
Nope.
It kinda makes you wanna...
Break into song?
Yup.

I love the mountains,
I love the clear blue skies,
I love big bridges,
I love when great whites fly,
I love the whole world,
And all its sights and sounds,
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da!

I love the oceans,
I love real dirty things,
I love to go fast,
I love Egyptian kings,
I love the whole world,
And all its craziness,
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da!

I love tornadoes,
I love arachnids,
I love hot magma,
I love the giant squids,
I love the whole world,
It's such a brilliant place,
Boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da, boom-de-ya-da!

There you have it, lyrics and all. Bet you wanna sing along now, don't you? DON'T YOU?

Also, thanks for letting me put this up, Tania :D

Mother Nature

Hey, I've noticed that despite being the main reason I started this blog, I have written NOTHING bout saving the environment or preserving our world. Now that has to be fixed. Like now O_o. And so, before Mother Nature smites me with lightning or something, I'll post something globally related.

sparkly..

Anyhow, there are all sorts of things we could do to save the environment, none of which will cost you much, physically or financially. So listen up, yeah? Or, watch up? See up? Whatever. Here's five steps. This... could take a while, haha.

Step number one.

Recycle your tin cans (shocker, huh?). But I'm serious, recycle any tin cans you drink from. Or if you're at a coffee shop and you're too lazy, just leave it there! The coffee shop owners tend to collect them and resell them to recycling plants so don't throw them away!

I know how ironic it is saying that you shouldn't throw your tin cans away, but it's true. For every tin can you recycle, you save enough enough energy to watch TV for three hours! That's like two movies, take or leave a few extra minutes. So if you want to keep your TV up and going, pick up a can and recycle it. Like now. Well, after you read steps two to five.

Step number two.

I know how odd this sounds, but by eating less beef you can help save our world. How wonky is that? In any case, I mean it.

Reducing red meat consumption by as little as 10% would cut the gases emitted by cows, sheep and goats that contribute to global warming. That's right. They fart. And a lot. And their err.. let's call it flatulence (how posh). Their flatulence (lol, it's such a funny word) contains a lot of methane and nitrous oxide, both of which are green house gases with greater warming effect than carbon dioxide.

By decreasing beef (or any red meat) consumption, we can help slow global warming by reducing the number of livestock and thereby lowering the amount of gas they give off. Pleasant, huh? I'm not saying that you should go totally vegan or anything. I mean, I like my meat as much as the next guy, but try giving this some thought the next time you get a burger, yeah? P.S I just ate a burger. I know, I am such a hypocrite. Shame is me

Step number three, oh yeahh.

Alrighty, number three! Air-conditioners. Most of you have them. Most of you are using it now. Well if you're not, then good for you. Cookies for all. The cost to run an air-conditioner unit for 24 hours averages between $2.00 - $3.00. A ceiling fan will cost you about 15 cents a day. A portable fan about 30 cents. Notice the difference? You betcha.

Also, if you have to use the air-conditioning, try setting the temperature to 24°C or higher. You use 3 to 5 percent more energy for each degree your air-cond is set below 24°C. So 24°C degrees is basically golden.

Step number four, almost there...

Yep refrigerators. The magic food box . It's interesting to know how much energy is used to keep all that food cold.

Basically, the energy is used up when the compressor (would you believe it?) compresses the gas inside to make it cold. When the temperature inside rises, it will turn the compressor on to cool down the air again. It's like having your air-conditioner on all day long. Woopy-dee-daa-doo.

So what can you do? Simple. Think about what you want before you open the refrigerator door. 30% of the cooled air escapes every time the fridge is opened, even more if you stand there pondering about what drink to get or which candy you're gonna eat (my vote's on the Maltesers).

Step number five :D

Wow, if you managed to read until here, give yourself a pat on the back. Despite it making you look completely awkward, I'm sure you deserve it, haha. Getting here was no easy feat I am sure, especially since I'm the one typing *cringe*.

In any case, if you're using a laptop, this tip is for you. When you're not using it, you really should turn off your wireless. You notice that your laptop battery will last a lot longer that way. This is because quite some bit of energy is used to maintain the connection with a wireless modem. So if you're just listening to some music or playing an offline game, try disabling your wireless.

For most laptops, this can be done by flipping that little slidey thing that says "Wireless" on your laptop. Simple, yes?

Also, if you're going to go and do something while leaving the computer on, try setting it on stand-by or at least turn off the screen. This can be done via some setting in the Control Panel. If you're using a desktop, just turn off the monitor. Believe it or not, screen savers do little to cut the energy cost, so try one of these methods instead.

Wow, that was a mouthful :D Seeing as how I've worked so hard typing all of this, you really oughta consider trying to do your part. Cause I'd be sad otherwise :(

Haha, I'm totally kidding.

But seriously :(

Bored :O

Damn the holidays are boring.
I mean, like mind-numbingly boring.
Like, watching-the-grass-would-be-more-fun-than-this boring o_O
And I'm no expert, but that's preeettyyyyy boring.
Wow, I think my brain just died, haha

In any case, before my entire brain rots itself silly, I think I'll do something productive.
Like tidy my room.
Or save a cat from a tree.

Or just post something here :D

Seeing as how my room is like a suicide bombing gone wrong, I'm not sure I'm looking forward to tidying up in there. Also, considering I'm probably too short to save a cat from a tree, I guess that's out too. I could use the ladder, though that's probably somewhere high up where I cannot reach either ._.
Oh the sadness... LOL

So that just leaves this thing that is currently failing to pass as a blog. You know what that means... Post number 3

I have to say, I thought living a boring day was hell, but I'm starting to realize, trying to write ABOUT a boring is like hell times two. Heck it's hell to the power of two! It's hell times hell!
Bleurgh.. Math just came out of my mouth o_O

I'm not sure I did anything worth while today. I peed I suppose. Does that count? I suppose my kidney's are happy :D

What's the past tense of pee anyway? Peeed? o_O How odd... Peeded? No.. that's just silly...

Anyway, you guys have gotta watch this! It's claymation! It's when you take a dozen billion thrillion googillion pictures of clay with each picture moving a little. Play it all back in a fluid motion and you get claymation.

There, that was something worthwhile I suppose. I advertised some dude's claymation vid :D

Alrighty, having done that, I'm gonna go sleep now. Might be the only thing keeping me sane. That, and the little funny doodles you sometimes find at public toilets

Madagascar 2

Wow.. Some day, huh?

I'm a little too tired to be bothered about trying to explain any of this to you (What kind of blog IS this? He's not gonna tell us what happened? Yeah, I know, I'm new to this so gimme' a break). I suppose I could tell you what happened today, but then it would just be a story to you. A meaningless anecdote.

I was there.
And that sucked plenty.

I will tell you though, today I've learned that some people out there are scum and should rot - in - hell. Interesting little moral of the day, huh?

In any case, check out www.caramel-candyy.blogspot.com or www.thedude93.blogspot.com if you really wanna know what's up.

On a brighter note, I went to watch Madagascar 2 with a couple of friends.
That was fun :D

Hello

Well, this here's basically my first post so I'll start off by telling you I have just about no experience at all in blog writing. Whenever I try to make a blog, I end up leaving it to rot in fiery hell because I never had anything to say - or write, you know what I mean.

But now, I've decided I do have something to say (or write, whatever, get off my back, yeah?).

The main reason why I'm writing this blog, the key point - and you're not going to believe me - is the environment. Oh yeah, big ol' Mother Nature. Haha, I can almost feel all your eye-rolling and brow-raising through the computer screen, but hey, I don't really care because that's what this blog is about. That's right, my mission? Saving the world.

Call me crazy, call me pathetic. Heck, call me mentally impaired , but I'm dead serious . Believe it or not, our world is dying, and (would you believe it?) at our hands. We choke the skies with all our fumes until it is no longer safe to breathe. We poison our rivers until we barely have enough clean water for everyone. This is why I'm writing this blog. This is my stand.

Don't get me wrong though, this blog's purpose isn't only to be the little nagging voice in your
head that makes you recycle and stuff . I suppose like most blogs, it'll broadcast my day to day life and will probably display any of my personal moans and groans about how Pepsi and Coke are the same thing.

same
see? :)
